Only if you use more than Perplexity. Perplexity costs $20/month on its own. ToolScale is $49/month and includes it with 50+ other premium tools, like GPT, Semrush, TurboScribe. The limit: Access is pooled, so search history is not a permanent personal archive.
The list price for Perplexity, next to the price of the membership that includes it.

Perplexity is the cheap part. The rest of the 50+ tool catalogue is where the money is.
Unlock my accessPerplexity is the rare AI subscription nobody really complains about the price of. It is $20, it answers with citations, it ends the tab-hoarding.
The trouble is that it is never the only one: GPT for drafting, Perplexity for research, something for voice, something for images, something for keyword data. Five reasonable bills become one unreasonable total.
Bundling is the only thing that fixes arithmetic.
What this Perplexity alternative does not do, said before you pay rather than after.
Six of the 50+ tools on the same login: the ones people who came for Perplexity tend to open next.

Including the ones where the answer is not flattering.
Yes: the paid tier, valued at $20/month in the catalogue, with deep research and file analysis rather than the free tier's limits.
For questions with an answer, largely yes, and the citations make it checkable. For navigational searches and local results, no. That is not what it is for.
Treat it as shared working space, not a private archive. Do not paste client credentials or anything confidential into any pooled tool, here or elsewhere.
Because almost nobody buys only Perplexity. It is included so that the research step does not become a separate bill on top of the writing step and the design step.
